The Zhuhai Yinghua Cambridge International School STEAM Summer Camp uses the popular American STEAM curriculum as a benchmark, employing a gamified teaching approach to allow children to experience the power of knowledge through hands-on activities, stimulating their learning interest and spirit of inquiry. The camp also offers a variety of cultural, sports, and outdoor development programs to enrich their after-school life.
Over the past six days, the seeds of scientific creation have quietly been sown in the hearts of the children...
At the opening ceremony, Principal Yang Xiaofeng used two examples of rocket launches to inspire the children. One was the successful launch of the 9th mission of the US "Starlink" project, sending 61 satellites into space; the other was the unsuccessful launch of China's Long March 7 rocket. Whether successful or not, rocket launches highlight the importance of learning through practice and applying theoretical knowledge to real-world situations.
Principal Yang Xiaofeng hopes that through the STEAM summer camp, children can improve their hands-on abilities, combine theory with practice, and explore the mysteries of science through practical experience.
The STEAM summer camp has concluded. Although the time was short, the children fully experienced the positive atmosphere of international education, enjoyed the various courses encompassing science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, and gained a group of like-minded friends.
The children's thinking and growth during this period have undoubtedly been significant. Yinghua sincerely wishes that all children will apply their experiences and gains to their future studies and lives, continuing to pursue their dreams. Yinghua will always be the children's strongest support, cheering them on.
