Holiday Precautions
Transportation Safety
Before setting out, inform your family, classmates, or friends and try to travel with companions. Strictly observe traffic regulations: walk on sidewalks, learn to yield to motor vehicles, and avoid competing with them for right-of-way. Do not ride in vehicles that are unlicensed, uninsured, or overloaded—this will help prevent unnecessary traffic accidents. While traveling, familiarize yourself with the surrounding environment when staying overnight or in crowded places, paying particular attention to evacuation routes. At exits of crowded venues and in stairwells, move in an orderly manner to prevent stampedes.
Fire prevention Safety
When traveling during holidays, be sure to follow the “Three Clears and Three Closures”: clear the kitchen, the balcony, and the hallway; and turn off all sources of fire, electricity, and gas. After a power outage, disconnect the power supply promptly before leaving home to prevent accidents when power is restored. Do not play with fire in any setting, and do not carry matches, lighters, explosives, or flammable materials. Avoid participating in outdoor activities such as open‑air cooking, barbecuing, or setting off fireworks whenever possible. In case of a fire, call 119 immediately.
Diet Safety
Pay attention to food hygiene: do not drink untreated water from natural sources, avoid consuming spoiled or deteriorated foods, refrain from eating undercooked or insufficiently cooked dishes, and steer clear of unfamiliar wild foods. This will help prevent foodborne illnesses and food poisoning.
During the holiday, maintain a balanced and regular diet, enjoy festive delicacies in moderation, and avoid overeating or binge eating. Cultivate good hygiene practices to help prevent norovirus, gastroenteritis, and other infectious diseases.
Network Safety
Develop good habits, consciously and reasonably manage your time spent using electronic devices, surf the internet safely and in compliance with the law, and use the internet in a civilized and healthy manner. Do not engage in activities involving pornography, gambling, or drugs, nor in feudal superstitions; do not visit websites containing violence or other unhealthy content; do not post online any remarks that violate national laws and regulations or social ethics; do not spread or comment on political rumors; and do not use the internet to incite disturbances or unrest. Protect your personal information and contact details, guard against telecom and cyber fraud, consciously resist illegal fundraising and harmful online lending, and refrain from participating in any form of unlawful assembly.
Hygiene Safety
Wash your hands frequently or disinfect them with an antiseptic after returning home and handling objects to prevent bacterial growth. Change and launder your clothes regularly, and clean daily surfaces that are frequently touched, such as door handles and tabletops. Ensure good ventilation in your home, and wear a mask when going out to help prevent the spread of respiratory infections like COVID‑19 and influenza.
Reasonable Schedule
Educate students to plan their holiday routines wisely, ensuring they go to bed early and rise early, thereby developing healthy lifestyle habits. Encourage them to conscientiously complete the homework assigned by their teachers; proactively read informative books and periodicals to broaden their extracurricular knowledge; and remind them to engage in appropriate physical exercise each day to strengthen their health. Additionally, urge students to participate in social and community service activities as well as group events, learning to manage themselves and enrich their holiday experiences.
Heat prevention Cooling down
In the hot summer weather, remember to drink plenty of water, and after exercising and sweating heavily, replenish with a little salted water in moderation. Schedule outdoor activities during the cooler morning and evening hours whenever possible, and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. After sweating, be sure to wipe off the sweat with a towel, and don’t immediately expose yourself to air conditioning, as this could lead to a cold.
Drowning prevention Safety
1. Swimming in outdoor water bodies (reservoirs, streams, construction-site puddles) is strictly prohibited.
2. Swimming in waters without safety facilities or that are unfamiliar is strictly prohibited.
3. Swimming in unauthorized areas is prohibited, and swimming without a parent or companion present is also forbidden.
4. When swimming, choose official facilities and, ideally, be accompanied by a parent or companion.
5. If a companion falls into the water, do not jump in to rescue them blindly; instead, try to shout for help or call the emergency services.
Finally, we hope all of you students will enjoy a healthy, safe, happy, and fulfilling summer vacation. Wishing you all a wonderful break!
