2019-12-12

On the afternoon of November 8, 2019, a group of 32 teachers and students from Yinghua traveled to the Leshi Cultural District in Zhuhai. This activity aimed to encourage students to actively participate in social activities, embrace the development concepts and business models of the new generation, set ambitious goals early on, and establish clear life goals at this crucial stage of high school.

The visit was warmly received by Mr. Ma Zhiwen, Chairman of Zhuhai Shanda Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Leshi Investment Management Co., Ltd. Mr. Ma, who had previously pursued a master's degree at the University of Birmingham, quickly bonded with the students due to their shared background.

Located in the former Daishan Industrial Zone in Zhuhai's Qian Shan district, the Leshi Cultural District covers approximately 80,000 square meters. It is Zhuhai's first multi-functional cultural experience area, integrating research and development, offices, tourism, exhibitions, sales, experiences, leisure, science education, and a community park. Relevant teachers and class advisors from our school participated in this activity. Everywhere in the Leshi Cultural District, one could sense the designers' thoughtful approach. The Leshi Cultural District is a successful example of adapting to the needs of "mass entrepreneurship and innovation," representing returnees integrating their personal career development into the process of realizing the Chinese Dream.

The students attentively listened to a speech by Mr. Ma Zhiwen, the founder of the Leshi Cultural District and an "outstanding alumnus." Mr. Ma shared his entrepreneurial journey, drawing on his overseas study experiences, and offered firsthand advice to his "juniors." He encouraged the students to study diligently, set clear academic and life goals, and return to contribute to the nation's development after completing their studies.

Mr. Ma Zhiwen's speech

We hope that this visit will inspire students to learn from role models, utilize their strengths to serve the country, actively participate in social activities, assume their responsibilities, and realize their dreams of studying abroad and contributing to the nation's economic development, thereby achieving their personal values.

ABOUT Leshi Cultural District

The biggest difference between the Leshi Cultural District and traditional cultural and creative parks is that it is not just an office space, with living facilities and industrial incubation services, but a space primarily focused on activities, tourism, exhibitions, and interactive sales. It combines livelihood with industry, increasing citizen participation.

"Le Chuang" - Where entrepreneurial dreams begin

"Le Chuang" not only includes studios for cultural entrepreneurs, but also showcases a creative living gallery. Citizens and tourists can find the latest high-value and functional creative design products here, enhancing their quality of life with interesting creative concepts, bringing cultural creativity into the lives of the public.

"Le Wo" - A resting place for dreams

"Le Wo" is Zhuhai's first youth social apartment. Here, in addition to the stylish interior design, there are carefully selected roommates. Each resident must go through an "application and selection" process to be eligible to live there. Those who live here are extraordinary, and they share similar interests.

"Le Qu" - An extension of dreams

"Le Qu" features a family-friendly themed children's play area, a fan culture experience hall, and a Tweeny life hall. Here, through "spatial experience," cultural and creative concepts are subtly disseminated, meeting the cultural needs of the whole family.

"Tweeny Dream Festival" - Opening the Dream Carnival

The "Tweeny" themed Dream Carnival is planned to be held every two years. Holding the Dream Carnival is not only a way to showcase creative achievements, but more importantly, it allows people to see the progress and development of Zhuhai's cultural industry.
