One's words are more valuable than nine tripods of treasure;

A three-inch tongue is stronger than a million troops.

——《战国策》

On October 11, 2019, at 2:30 PM, a training session themed "Speech Changes Destiny, Communication Creates the Future" was held in our school's auditorium. This was the first specialized in-house training on speech and communication for teachers and students in the Yinghua Practical Skills Lecture Hall, aiming to improve the speaking and communication skills of our school's teachers and students.

The school invited Mr. Jiang Bo, one of the top ten leaders in China's speech and eloquence training industry, a senior lecturer of speech and eloquence from the Ministry of Education, and the founder of the Zhiliangzhi Academy in Macau, to give a public training lecture to all the teachers and staff and students of grades G1 and G2.

Guest Speaker: Mr. Jiang Bo

Principal Yang Xiaofeng, on behalf of the school, extended a warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to Mr. Jiang Bo for giving a public lecture to our teachers and students. Principal Yang, quoting classics and combining examples from famous people both at home and abroad, explained the importance and necessity of this lecture to everyone, and deeply explained that speaking and communication are important and essential skills in the work and study process of teachers and students. He hoped that teachers and students could listen carefully and learn, and apply what they have learned.

Principal Yang Xiaofeng's Opening Remarks

Mr. Jiang Bo systematically lectured our teachers and students on the skills of speech and communication from six aspects: how to overcome nervousness when speaking, how to make a first impression, how to improve voice quality, how to use body language, how to improve interpersonal communication skills, and how to speak in a way that makes everyone comfortable.

He encouraged the students to strive to improve their speaking skills, so that they can better showcase the style of Chinese students on the international stage in the near future, and hoped that the students can carry forward the spirit of their predecessors who studied abroad, and return to serve the motherland after completing their studies.

Mr. Jiang Bo's Lecture to Teachers and Students

Mr. Jiang Bo combined practical cases to demonstrate and explain to our teachers and students, correcting the specific errors and shortcomings of the students in speech, posture, gestures, etc., and teaching the students speech skills such as "Jiang's Method for Overcoming Nervousness," "Five Principles of Public Speaking," and "Yan's Eleven Hand Techniques for Making Gestures More Beautiful." Mr. Jiang Bo's humorous and entertaining teaching style was unanimously praised by the teachers and students attending the event, and the atmosphere on site was lively with continuous applause.
