Holiday Tips
To ensure that children have a safe, fulfilling, and meaningful holiday, we would like to remind you:
1. Civilized Tomb-Sweeping: Passing on Cultural Heritage
The Qingming Festival is a traditional Chinese holiday for honoring our ancestors and expressing our grief. We encourage parents to guide their children in commemorating the deceased through low-carbon, eco-friendly practices such as offering flowers, planting trees to green the environment, and conducting online memorial services. In the process of remembrance, we can gain a deeper appreciation of the meaning of life, carry forward fine family traditions, and integrate the “roots” and “soul” of Chinese culture into a global perspective.
2. Strictly uphold the safety barrier, and stay healthy always.
Travel Safety: During the holiday, please observe traffic rules at all times. Spring weather can be unpredictable; if it rains and the roads become slippery, drive with extra caution.
Drowning Prevention Safety: As the weather warms up, be sure to teach your children to stay away from natural bodies of water and never swim in them without adult supervision, in order to prevent drowning accidents.
Healthy Diet: Spring is a peak season for infectious diseases, so please pay attention to food hygiene, avoid overeating, maintain a regular daily routine, and take appropriate personal protective measures.
3. Rational planning: balancing academics with physical and mental well-being
For Yinghua students facing major exams, the holiday is a golden opportunity to make a significant leap forward.
Academic Continuity: Students are requested to manage their time effectively, complete holiday assignments on schedule, and review the key concepts learned recently, with particular emphasis on DSE Review and preview of international curriculum systems such as A-Level.
Social Practice: Students are encouraged to use their holidays to participate in community volunteer service or go on outdoor hikes, allowing them to relax and rejuvenate while connecting with nature, thereby building up energy for their upcoming studies.
Return-to-School Requirements
Upon returning to campus, students are requested to ensure their uniforms are neat and tidy and to bring all necessary school supplies.
If, due to special circumstances, your child is unable to return to school on time, parents must contact the homeroom teacher in advance and complete the necessary leave-of-absence procedures.
Boarding students: Please return to your dormitory on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the evening, following the usual Sunday check-in schedule and procedures.
Day students: Please report to school at the regular class time on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
A gentle breeze and nourishing rain, with endless longing;
May springtime and you both be well. Wishing everyone a safe, peaceful, and meaningful Qingming Festival holiday!
