Flag-raising ceremony for the first week of the new school year | Entering a new semester, igniting new hopes
On the morning of August 3, 2020, the first week's flag-raising ceremony of the new school year was successfully held at Zhuhai Yinghua Cambridge International School!

A new semester brings new hope and dreams. Following the opening lesson, "Your Freedom Starts with Self-Discipline," on the evening of August 2nd, 2020, all teachers and students of Zhuhai Yinghua Cambridge International School gathered in the main hall of the Science and Technology Building on the morning of August 3rd for the first flag-raising ceremony of the new semester.
At 7:40 am on August 3rd, the main hall of the Science and Technology Building was silent. With the resounding national anthem, the bright five-star red flag rose slowly under the gaze of all Yinghua teachers and students.
Yinghua hopes to integrate the strengths of Eastern and Western education to cultivate elite talents with a Chinese heart and an international perspective. Listening to the national anthem and saluting the national flag is also to foster a stronger sense of belonging in our students. Only by knowing where our roots are and where our hearts belong can we confidently move forward, avoiding confusion, loneliness, and hesitation in foreign lands.

Good morning! Today is the first flag-raising ceremony of the first week of the 2020-2021 school year. We are gathered here today, and I would like to pose three questions: Who are you? How do others see you? And who do you want to become?
The current international situation is dominated by the global pandemic of COVID-19. In this context, why should we still study abroad? I addressed this question at the graduation ceremony two weeks ago, so I will not repeat it here. However, I would like to quote my concluding remarks from the third graduation ceremony two weeks ago:
Students, whenever the world undergoes major changes, international education becomes even more necessary. Whenever the world is in turmoil, we need to remain steadfast . We believe that knowledge and ideas are the forces that change the world, and we believe that
truth can bring peace and clarity to this world.
