The sky is blue and the sun is shining. On November 14-15, 2020, the ASDAN Business Simulation Competition Guangdong Regional Competition was held as scheduled at Hui Tong School! In recent years, simulated business challenge competitions have become increasingly popular in various middle schools. 35 teams from 13 schools in Guangdong Province conducted fierce business competition in Shenzhen. A team of six elite young people from Zhuhai Yinghua Cambridge School ( AS Class: Leon, Sammy, Helena, Louis, G2 Class: Christina, Joanna ) participated in the Shenzhen competition.

 

 

The ASDAN Business Simulation Competition is based on a simulated business operation system, which completely simulates and restores the real environment and decision-making process of market and company operations, including four major parts: operational decisions, corporate roadshows, business confrontations, and auction transactions. Participants will take on different senior manager roles in the company, making decisions in areas such as human resources, production, sales, and transportation, while constantly paying attention to market changes, in order to achieve the largest market share and the most profits with the smallest expenditure. The winning company becomes the champion. Participants will improve their economic analysis skills, logical reasoning ability, expand their network, and improve their communication, teamwork, public speaking, and business English skills.

Throughout the event, Yinghua's elites maintained a high level of enthusiasm and participated in every discussion and auction session. They actively sought resources needed by their company and sold their company's surplus resources in the trading market in exchange for what they needed. Through decision-making in various aspects of company operations, they thought deeply, worked together, and fully demonstrated the style of Yinghua students.

 

In the business confrontation and roadshow session, the team needs to complete different financing and roadshows within the same time, such as brand design, product display, human resources recruitment, and sales plans. Each round of presentation is a competition, and the results of the competition are entered into the profit and loss statement as the operating capital for the next round. Participating in project presentations with specified themes, completing specific tasks for the company and presenting them to the judges, the winning team in each round of presentations will receive additional operating capital rewards to enrich the scale of operating capital and increase investment to expand production. The students answered the questions of “How do I attract customers? How do I sell my products? What are the characteristics of my products? What is the design concept of the product?” with an all-English presentation.

Every ASDAN business competition is a fierce battle. After two days of hard work, the six elite players from Zhuhai Yinghua Cambridge International School Qualified for the star competition to compete for the national competition and won the "Young Entrepreneur Certificate".
