Zhuhai Yinghua was founded in 2016 and currently offers two international curricula, including Edexcel Examination Board, UK Oxford AQA Examination Board, and the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service UCAS authorized international gold medal A-LEVEL (British high school curriculum) courses, and the HKDSE (Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education) courses officially launched in 2020 to meet students' needs for further education in Hong Kong. Our school is also one of the first in Zhuhai to offer HKDSE courses. The curriculum is open to students nationwide, regardless of household registration, and also accepts eligible students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and foreign countries.
HKDSE stands for Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HONG KONG Diploma of Secondary Education) ，launched by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority in 2012, is the main university entrance examination for Hong Kong secondary schools, also known as the "Hong Kong Gaokao". It is the only international examination that allows answers in simplified Chinese (except for English subjects), and the examination is held annually from March to May.
HKDSE offers 24 courses (including 4 core subjects and 20 elective subjects). In addition to the 4 core subjects (Chinese, English, Mathematics, and Civic and Social Development), candidates can choose 2-3 elective subjects according to their interests and goals, and finally select the best 5 or 6 subjects for university application. Mainland students and permanent Hong Kong residents can apply to more than 300 undergraduate institutions in Hong Kong, the UK, Australia, Singapore, Canada, and other countries and regions with their HKDSE results.
