Beyond | Zhuhai Yinghua International School Class of 2025 Graduation and Coming-of-Age Ceremony
2025-06-19

Honored parents and guests, dear graduates and Yinghua colleagues:
Hello everyone!
Today, we gather together to witness this glorious moment for Yinghua's students. As the school supervisor, I am filled with immense excitement and extend my warmest congratulations to all graduates! I also offer my sincerest gratitude to the parents and teachers who have accompanied you on your journey, and to all the guests present today!
Chapter 1: Blessings and Gratitude
At this moment, I would like to offer my best wishes to each graduate: May you be safe and healthy on your future path, filled with passion, and bravely forge ahead! May your parents be comforted by your growth and proud of your achievements!
At the same time, I would like to express my deep gratitude to every parent for their trust in Yinghua. Your support has given us the confidence to move forward; gratitude to every teacher and member of the support staff at Yinghua, your dedication has filled the campus with warmth; and even greater gratitude to all the guests present today, your presence makes this moment even more solemn and unforgettable!
Chapter 2: Review and Growth
Among this graduating class, some students have been with Yinghua for only one year, while others have been enrolled since the fall of 2021, a full four years, experiencing the challenges of the pandemic and the relocation of the school with us. But regardless of the length of time, we have all together written an unforgettable chapter:
• During the pandemic, our perseverance both online and offline;
• During the move, our teachers and students working together to overcome difficulties;
• Inside and outside the classroom, every drop of sweat we shed in pursuit of our dreams...
Today, all the hardships have turned into warm memories, and all the tears have witnessed the medals of our struggles. Today, we finally welcome the dawn of graduation! The road ahead may still be full of challenges, but please believe that the resilience, courage, and responsibility you have learned at Yinghua will ultimately illuminate your path!
Chapter 3: Expectations and Messages
Dear graduates, you are standing at a historical juncture in the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. The future world is your stage, and it is also your responsibility!
However, we must clearly recognize that: the world's ethnic groups are vying for glory, and talents are emerging. The path of the Chinese nation to the top of the world will never be smooth sailing.
Today, satellites are launched into space, and the Jiaolong submersible dives into the deep sea, demonstrating the rapid development of Chinese science and technology; but at the same time, we still witness the smoke of war, the ravages of plagues, and face layers of containment in the form of tariff wars, financial wars, chip wars, and trade wars.
But, it is precisely that "when the winds and clouds gather, heroes emerge."
The turbulent times of today are precisely the day for you to set sail; the numerous challenges of today are precisely the time for you to make your name and establish your reputation!
• I hope that when you study abroad, you will be safe and healthy, remain true to your original aspirations, and continue to grow;
• I hope that no matter how far you go, you will remember the care of your parents and teachers, and often come back to visit your alma mater;
• I even more hope that you will dare to be pioneers of the times, with the passion of "the spirit of scholars, sweeping away the gloom," leaving your mark on the path of national rejuvenation!
As Mao Zedong said: "Just like young students, full of vigor and vitality." The future world has no empty titles, but a larger stage and a heavier mission. May you, with the spirit of "a peng soaring with the wind, rising straight to 90,000 li," surpass yourselves and take flight!
Epilogue: The Future is Bright
Finally, I want to say to all the graduates: No matter where you go, Yinghua will always be your home! No matter how great your achievements, your alma mater will always be proud of you!
May you:
• With the youth of ourselves, meet the appointment of the times;
• With the struggle of ourselves, write the brilliant chapter of life!
Thank you all!

Hello everyone! I am Chen Mengsheng, a graduate of the class of 2022 from Zhuhai Yinghua. Today, I am very honored to return to my alma mater as an alumnus and witness this important moment with everyone. Standing here, I can't help but recall myself three years ago, also sitting where you are, looking forward to the future with anticipation, apprehension, and excitement.
Three years ago, I embarked on a journey to study in the UK, studying psychology at Durham University. This process was full of challenges, but also very rewarding. What I want to share with you is not only what I have seen and felt during my university life, but also some of the life experiences I have gained from it.
In these three years at Durham, I have deeply realized that the meaning of learning is far more than just "getting high scores" or "getting into a good university." There was a time when I encountered bottlenecks in my courses, feeling overwhelmed by complex experimental designs and psychometric models. During that time, I began to doubt my abilities and even wanted to escape. But it was at this time that I realized that true learning is not for exams, but for understanding the world and understanding myself. When I re-invested my energy and approached learning with the mindset of "wanting to understand the problem," I discovered that behind the seemingly boring knowledge lay the mysteries of human behavior, and many profound questions such as "Who am I?" and "Why do people suffer?" Learning gradually became a way for me to explore the world and a cornerstone of my continuous growth.
At university, I also experienced the power of "people." The gym is a place I go to every day, not only to exercise my body, but also to recharge my spirit. There, I met many "amazing people": team members who insist on training at six o'clock every morning, and classmates who are preparing for Ironman while studying for a medical doctorate. My interactions with these people made me realize that truly outstanding people are not necessarily gifted, but those who work a little harder than yesterday.
What moved me the most was the bond with my high school classmates. Perhaps because we are in a foreign country, we appreciate each other's presence more than we did at school. Studying late at night together, cooking for each other on holidays, these seemingly ordinary days, when I look back now, are exceptionally warm. Yinghua has given us not only knowledge, but also a friendship and values that continue to this day.
Today, I am about to embark on a new journey, continuing my studies in the Department of Education at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, continuing to pursue my original aspiration of "using psychology and education to support the growth of adolescents." Standing before you, I would like to share three sentences with my juniors and sisters:
First, learning is not the goal, but a path to freedom. When you truly possess understanding and critical thinking, you will no longer blindly follow others, but be able to forge your own path.
Second, don't be afraid of confusion or failure. University is not a straight line, but an exploratory jungle. What matters is not whether you fall, but whether you can get up from each fall, and continue forward with a new perspective.
Third, cherish the people around you. Your current friends, teachers, and even those who complain about homework with you, may be the ones who will help you when you are in the most difficult times. Life is long, and relationships are precious.
Finally, I wish you all: May you, in your future studies and life, remain true to your original aspirations, have light in your eyes, a path under your feet, and love in your heart. I also hope that in a few years, you will return here with your own stories, to share your growth journey with the next generation of juniors and sisters.
Thank you all!

Distinguished guests, dear teachers and students:
Good afternoon everyone! I am Li Wenhan, a graduate of Class A2.
In the blink of an eye, from the time I first stepped onto campus, somewhat bewildered, to now standing here in my graduation gown, I never imagined time would pass so quickly. This year and a half has been a time filled with challenges and achievements. Here, we have studied various subjects in depth, not only expanding our knowledge but also cultivating critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Each course is not just the imparting of knowledge, but also the training of our way of thinking, laying a solid foundation for our future academic and professional paths.
However, our school life was not just about burying our heads in textbooks and exam papers; there were also many unforgettable experiences and wonderful memories. I remember Christmas, when we all decorated the classroom, the Christmas tree, exchanged gifts, and rehearsed programs during evening self-study. And on Halloween night, we dressed up in strange costumes and participated in many interesting activities prepared by the student union. These joyful times not only enhanced our friendship but also gave us valuable relaxation amidst our busy studies.
The tense and exciting moments of the business competition are still vivid in my memory. Although the team we formed did not win any eye-catching awards, we did achieve a good ranking. During the process, we experienced the excitement of building our first house in the Auction, the thinking and discussions on market reports and next-round decisions in Operation, and teachers Cathy and Irene staying up until midnight to help us practice our presentations again and again so that we could perform better the next day. Every time I see the medal hanging on my bed and the trophy displayed in the school hall, I feel that the sleepless nights and hair loss were all worthwhile. The business competition not only improved our practical skills, such as making PPTs and Excel spreadsheets and giving presentations, but also allowed us to experience the importance of teamwork and the joy of success.
We also went through the journey of applying to university, a journey filled with hope and anxiety. We spent a lot of time with our university counselors, Gina and Penguin, researching and discussing different majors, weighing our interests against our future career paths. The process of writing the personal statement was a profound reflection and summary of ourselves, striving to showcase our characteristics and experiences vividly, hoping to stand out among numerous applicants. The future professional directions of our class are also very diverse, covering business, science, engineering, and humanities and social sciences. When I received my first offer, the excitement and joy were indescribable; it was an affirmation of our years of hard work. We celebrated every success, but we also learned to accept rejection letters and the disappointment of not achieving ideal results with equanimity. These experiences made us more mature and strengthened our confidence in the future. Whether success or setbacks, they have become an indispensable part of our growth.
Thank you to our head teacher and subject teachers Mia, Aurora, Jack, Kento, Cathy, Irene, Judy, Justin, Annie, Dason, George, Tim, Benz, and Zora. It is your painstaking teaching and selfless dedication that have allowed us to make continuous academic progress. You not only imparted knowledge to us but also taught us how to think, how to question, and how to constantly surpass ourselves. Thank you to our parents; your support and understanding have allowed us to pursue our dreams without any worries. You have always believed in us, encouraged us, and given us your greatest support and strength. Thank you to our classmates; your companionship and encouragement have made my studies at Yinghua full of warmth and happiness. We have spent countless wonderful moments together, sharing the joy of success and the lessons of failure.
Today, we stand here not only to celebrate past achievements but also to look forward to the infinite possibilities of the future. Our studies at Yinghua are just an important stage in our life journey; there will be many more challenges and opportunities waiting for us. We will take everything we have learned here and face the challenges in university with composure.
Dear classmates, whether we are in the UK, the US, Australia, Hong Kong, or Singapore in the future, let us remember every bit of our time here. No matter how uncertain the future may be, we will be more determined and composed because of our studies and growth here.
Finally, thank you again to everyone who has cared for and supported us. And to all graduates: Happy graduation!
Thank you all!

Respected school leaders and teachers, dear students and parents:
Hello everyone! I am Chloe Huang Xinyi's mother, from Class F6. Standing here today, watching our children about to graduate, my heart is full of emotion. Time flies so fast. It seems like yesterday they were still shy teenagers carrying their school bags into the school, and now they are standing at a new starting point in life, ready to spread their wings and fly. At this moment, please allow me to express my sincerest gratitude to Yinghua School on behalf of all parents!
Thank you to the school for providing a platform for the children's growth. We transferred from a regular high school after two years. I clearly remember Chloe feeling lost and directionless in her previous school, even somewhat apathetic towards studying... My husband and I decided to change her path, to help her rediscover herself! By chance, we came across Yinghua School. The first time we stepped onto the campus, I was moved by the students' friendliness and the teachers' warm smiles. The students here are so sunny, and each child's eyes shine with light. You can feel that they don't just study hard, but enjoy studying. The environment and teaching methods help children overcome their fear and aversion to learning. The small class sizes ensure that each student receives adequate attention. The school not only cultivates students' knowledge with a rigorous teaching system, but also opens up broader paths for them after graduation. As parents, we feel comfortable entrusting our child to such a warm and caring school. In the past year, I've seen a significant change in Chloe. She studies very hard, has become more independent and sensible, and has set future goals. Her confidence is slowly returning, which makes us very relieved and happy for her. Knowing what she wants to do in the future and working towards it, the road ahead is still long, this is just a small part of your life, come on, child! Mom and Dad wish you a bright future and all your wishes come true!
Thank you again to the teachers at Yinghua for illuminating the children's growth with love and responsibility. Each child is a seed, with different blooming periods, but you are willing to cultivate silently and wait for the flowers to bloom. It is this selfless dedication that allows children to learn perseverance in the face of pressure and courage in the face of setbacks.
Dear children, today is your moment of glory. I want to tell you: graduation is not the end, but the beginning of a wider world. The road ahead may have storms, but remember, the knowledge the school has taught you is your confidence, the character the teachers have given you is your armor, and your parents will always be your warmest harbor. No matter where you go, please maintain your thirst for knowledge, your persistence in your dreams, and like you did on campus, always have light in your eyes, love in your heart, and strength in your steps.
Finally, I wish Yinghua School continued success and prosperity! I wish the teachers good health and a world of students! I wish the children a happy graduation and a bright future! Carrying the school's expectations, spread your wings in a wider sky, and write your own wonderful life!
Thank you everyone!

Respected parents, dear graduates, faculty and staff, and distinguished guests:
Hello everyone!
I am Cathy Wei Renwei, the head teacher of F6. I am also the economics teacher for both the A2 and F6 graduating classes. First, please allow me to represent all the faculty and staff in extending our warmest congratulations to all the graduates who are about to embark on a new stage of life!
In my eyes, each of you is a unique individual. You have all written your own wonderful chapters with your youth and sweat. I hope that these valuable experiences and abilities from high school will accompany you to a wider world and help you achieve your greater dreams.
Over the past few years, we have shared many unforgettable moments. My A2 "economists," I have witnessed your growth in English ability and logical thinking, and I have accompanied you through many exams, forging a deep friendship. I hope you can now remember the difference between "dumpling" and "dumping".
And my "loving F6 empire," we have always been a warm, lively, and sometimes slightly "crazy" group. We danced abstract dances at the evening party, and turned our exam trip to Hong Kong into a foodie trip...
At school, I am a strict head teacher, a teacher who constantly pushes you, but after class, we eat together, sing together, play script-killing games together, play badminton together... We seem to have become best friends. I often sigh: The children are growing up, maturing, but one day, the children will leave. And that day has come.
As a teacher, I have a few more words to say to you:
First, please remain humble and continue learning. In this rapidly developing information age, we receive too much fragmented information, and it is easy to become addicted to short videos and games, gradually losing the ability to engage in in-depth learning and thinking. Young people, when you truly learn knowledge and gradually transform it into your own abilities, you will experience true happiness and a sense of accomplishment, which is certainly more meaningful than the momentary pleasure brought by short videos and games.
Second, learn to be independent and take responsibility. Parents and teachers sincerely hope you are well and are willing to unconditionally help you, but as adults or soon-to-be adults, you will eventually leave your parents' protection and need to independently face the challenges of life and study. I hope you can learn to think and choose independently and dare to take responsibility for your choices. Nothing is taken for granted; one day, you will grow into someone who can take responsibility for yourself and others.

Respected parents, teachers, distinguished guests, and especially today's most important protagonists, the graduates:
Today, we gather here with joy and pride. As we cross the threshold of adulthood, this ceremony is not only a celebration of our growth, but also an expectation of the wonderful journey ahead.
First, let's talk about gratitude. Look at those smiling faces in the front row! Our parents have been our strongest supporters from day one. They stayed up late to help us with our homework, drove us to countless extracurricular activities, and cheered for every bit of our progress. And the teachers, guiding these young hearts, turning confusion into clarity, and challenges into opportunities. Thank you to all the family, friends, and teachers present. It is you who have shaped these graduates into kind, intelligent, and resilient individuals.
As adults, we are about to enter a world that requires us to speak up and take action. Think about those difficult problems—such as helping the earth recover its vitality, ensuring that everyone has equal opportunities, and building bridges between different cultures. Our learning is not only to achieve good grades, but also to teach us to look at the world from different perspectives, to raise profound and critical questions, and to find answers and solutions. This is the power of education, and now is the time to use this power to change the world. This is the meaning of responsibility: to transcend oneself and think about how to help others.
But don't worry, we're not alone. We have knowledge, skills, and the love and support of everyone present. Remember, every great dream begins with a small step. Whether we want to be life-saving doctors, inspiring artists, or world-changing entrepreneurs, let's bravely take that first step. Of course, there will inevitably be bumps in the road, we may fall, we may fail, but it's okay: every failure is a valuable lesson, every setback is an opportunity for growth.
Finally, I offer my sincerest wishes: May our future be filled with surprising adventures, inspiring challenges, and achievements we can be proud of. We are not only entering adulthood, but also stepping into a world where we can write our own stories, and these stories will undoubtedly be wonderful and unique.
Congratulations, graduates! Welcome to the adult world. This world is waiting for us.
Thank you all!
