International Express News | Latest Guide to Expedited US Visa Appointments

2025-07-11

Facing the difficulty of F/J visa appointments being scheduled until September and the approaching school start date, students and their agents can try to apply for an expedited appointment—this requires meeting three strict conditions: the start date is within 60 days, no visa rejection record within six months, and complete materials (including an activated I-20/DS-2019 and SEVIS payment proof); operationally, one must first secure any regular interview appointment slot then log in to the appointment system to submit an expedited application and upload school start date proof documents. Emergency interview eligibility is usually approved via email within 48 hours.

PART .01

What is an expedited appointment?

An expedited appointment is a special visa interview service for applicants with urgent needs, such as upcoming studies or other emergencies. Through expedited appointments, applicants can prioritize interview times, avoiding missing important start dates or other key schedules.

Notes:

1. Expedited appointment applications must be submitted in English.

2. Each applicant can only apply for an expedited appointment once.

3. A regular appointment must be completed before submitting an expedited application.

PART .02

Under what circumstances can student visa applicants apply for

an expedited visa?

• Start date within the next 60 days (requires providing the start date indicated on the I-20 or DS-2019 form).

Provide school admission letter or relevant supporting documents.

Not rejected within the last 6 months, and not used expedited service.

Notes:

1. Materials must be complete;

2. Lack of I-20 form or SEVIS fee payment proof may result in the embassy directly rejecting the expedited request. Do not fabricate false reasons;

3. For example, fabricating medical or family emergencies may be recorded and seriously affect future visa applications.

4. Expedited approval results will be sent via the email address do-not-reply@usvisascheduling.com. It is recommended to add it to the whitelist or regularly check the junk mail folder to avoid missing notifications. Expedited validity is limited;

5. If the expedited request is approved, you must complete the appointment within the specified time. Overdue will result in loss of expedited eligibility and inability to reapply for expedited service.

High-Quality Education Options Outside the US

UK and Hong Kong Curriculum Programs

UK Curriculum

The A-Level British high school curriculum is one of the most mature high school education systems in the English-speaking world, recognized by over 10,000 universities in more than 160 countries and regions. The curriculum is divided into IGCSE and A-Level two stages, (our school) uses a bilingual teaching mode.

IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is generally suitable for students aged 14-16, with a two-year system. Some excellent students can complete the entire course in one year. The curriculum offers more than 70 subjects, with English and mathematics as compulsory subjects, and other subjects as electives. (Our school) students can choose 5 suitable subjects based on

their interests and goals to study, and their understanding and application ability of the subjects will be evaluated through examinations. After completing the IGCSE course examination and obtaining a passing grade, students can further choose A-Level courses to study.

A-Level courses require students to study 3 to 4 courses simultaneously and participate in corresponding subject examinations. The final examination results will be considered an important condition for university admission. Students can use A-Level results to apply to undergraduate institutions in most countries and regions, including universities in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, and Hong Kong.

Yinghua IGCSE/A-Level Courses Offered:

Compulsory Subjects: English, Mathematics, Chinese

Elective Subjects: Advanced Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, etc.

Examination Advantages: Multiple examinations can be taken in one year, with examination times ranging from 35 to 40 days, and a total of three examination seasons per year; 3-4 subjects can be chosen for the examination, with free choice of examination subjects; using Grading System Grading standards (A*, A, B, C, D, E, U)

IELTS scores serve as important proof of language proficiency when applying to overseas universities. The IELTS score requirements for different majors at different universities can be found on the school's website. Generally, applying for overseas undergraduate programs requires an overall IELTS score of at least 6.0 or 6.5, and a certain score in each skill. If the target is a UK G5 institution, the overall score needs to be 7.0 or higher.

Therefore, Yinghua encourages students to meet the language requirements in advance, devoting more time and energy to the study of compulsory and elective subjects. Use extracurricular time to participate in activities such as speeches, debates, poetry writing, professional reading, scientific research papers, English news writing, and video production to help improve English speaking ability and logical thinking skills, laying a solid foundation for the four examinations of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.

Hong Kong Curriculum

HKDSE, the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education, was launched by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority in 2012. It is the main university entrance examination in Hong Kong, also known as the "Hong Kong Gaokao," and is the only international examination that allows answers in simplified Chinese (except for English).

The HKDSE offers 24 courses (including 4 core subjects and 20 elective subjects). In addition to the 4 core subjects (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, and Civic and Social Development), candidates can choose 2-3 elective subjects based on their interests and goals, and finally select 5 or 6 best results to apply for universities. Mainland students can use HKDSE results to apply to over 300 undergraduate institutions in Hong Kong, the UK, Australia, Singapore, and Canada.

Yinghua HKDSE Courses Offered:

Core Subjects: Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics, and Civic and Social Development

Elective Subjects: Physics, Biology, Extended Mathematics, Chemistry, Economics, Tourism and Hospitality, etc.
