She began her career as a law professor, teaching at Rutgers and Columbia Law School. During that time, she conducted groundbreaking research on gender discrimination and became deeply committed to advocating for women’s rights.

Her legal work at the American Civil Liberties Union provided her with the opportunity to argue landmark cases that reshaped the law and enhanced women's opportunities in education, employment, and pay.

In 1993, President Bill Clinton nominated her to the Supreme Court, making her the second woman ever to serve there. As a justice, she was renowned for her sharp legal acumen and her steadfast advocacy for equal rights. Even when she disagreed with the majority, her dissenting opinions frequently paved the way for future legal reforms.

Her influence extended far beyond the courtroom. She became an inspiration to women, girls, and young lawyers everywhere. She showed the world that one person’s dedication can make a real impact.

When she passed away in 2020, people across the country honored her memory. But her ideas about equality and justice continue to inspire activists and lawyers who are working for a fairer world.

In summary, Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s life was marked by hard work, courage, and remarkable achievements. She tirelessly championed gender equality, and her story reminds us of the importance of standing firm in our beliefs and never abandoning our dreams of creating a better world.

Introduction

Hello everyone, today I want to share with you a personal journey that was shaped by Dedication, ambition, and the desire to succeed. As many of you know, I originally come from the United Kingdom. It was here that I completed my master’s degree at university—specifically, at the University of Nottingham. I earned a master’s in Zoology, which I know may seem like a rather unusual degree to have, but those four years it took me to finish this program taught me so much about myself.

What is Zoology?

Zoology is very similar to Biology. However, Zoology has a stronger focus on animals and It doesn’t really delve into medicine or pharmaceuticals. Zoology isn’t like being a veterinarian—it focuses more on theory rather than saving animals’ lives. Instead, I learned about the intricate ecosystems that shape our environment, explored various types of animals from around the world, and understood the crucial need to maintain balance between ourselves and the natural world to ensure our planet’s sustainability. It was a highly open course, where even the smallest changes—like a bird migrating to a new forest—can have far-reaching effects across an entire continent. During my time on this course, I had the wonderful opportunity to travel abroad, specifically to the mountains in France, where I discovered a fascinating array of insects, goats, and plants.

made the mountains their home. This is a lifelong memory for me, and it also allowed I had the chance to meet some of the most fascinating people I’ve ever encountered. I pursued this degree alongside some of my closest friends—people with whom I shared data, ideas, and even engaged in lively debates about the current conservation challenges our planet is facing. We discussed the best strategies for protecting endangered species, restoring habitats, and tackling global issues like climate change. These discussions taught me that collaboration isn’t just crucial in zoology—it’s essential in every aspect of life. Studying zoology also gives you the unique opportunity to undertake a final research project, which is always incredibly engaging and thought-provoking. For instance, I spent four months observing massive red deer with enormous antlers, witnessing everything from fierce fights and thunderous roars to serene moments when these majestic creatures simply settled down to graze. It was hard work, no doubt, but this experience was unlike anything else I’ve ever done—it gave me a one-of-a-kind adventure that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Of course, pursuing a degree in zoology wasn’t all smooth sailing. Like any challenging academic journey, it came with its fair share of obstacles. These included long nights spent in the library, tirelessly working through complex topics and assignments.

assignments, feeling homesick and missing family, and being overwhelmed by such a A vibrant, close-knit community. These are the challenges of university—but that’s also why university is so special. It teaches you not only how to overcome these difficulties, but also how to embrace them and rise above.

Importance to the school?

So why am I telling you about my university degree? First of all, it’s quite unique, so I thought...

You'd all be interested to learn what it was. But this degree isn't just a piece of This paper is a reminder of the hard work and dedication it took to get me to where I am today. My experiences have brought me here—to stand before all of you, ready to share my journey and inspire you with insights into a variety of subjects, including PE, chemistry, and English. Remember, working hard isn’t just about university or school—it’s something that applies to every corner of life. Whether it’s tackling those pesky weekend homework assignments or making plans with friends even when you’re feeling exhausted, perseverance is key to moving forward in life. And even now, as I’ve completed university, the real work hasn’t stopped—I’m constantly striving to grow, pushing myself to become the best version of who I can be. After all, success is built on a solid foundation of consistent effort and unwavering commitment. With these principles guiding you, there’s nothing holding you back from achieving whatever you dream of becoming.

Hello everyone, today I’d like to share with you a personal journey about dedication, ambition, and the pursuit of success. As many of you probably know, I come from the UK. I completed my master’s degree there, studying at the University of Nottingham. My major was zoology—yes, I know it’s a rather niche field—but those four years immersed in this program allowed me to truly discover who I am.

What is zoology?

Zoology is very similar to biology, but it focuses more specifically on the study of animals—rather than on medical or pharmaceutical fields. Unlike veterinary medicine, which emphasizes practical animal care and treatment, zoology leans toward theoretical exploration. Through my studies, I’ve come to understand the intricate ecosystems that shape our environment, gained insight into diverse species from around the globe, and developed a deeper awareness of the critical balance between humanity and environmental conservation—a balance essential for the planet’s sustainable future. This discipline reveals the delicate interconnectedness of the world: even something as seemingly minor as a single bird migrating to a new forest can ripple across entire continents, leaving lasting impacts.

During my studies, I had the privilege of venturing into the French mountains for a field expedition, where I explored the fascinating world of insects, mountain goats, and plants that call these rugged landscapes home. This unforgettable experience not only deepened my passion for the natural sciences but also introduced me to a group of incredibly inspiring peers. Together with my close friends, we delved into our discipline, exchanging insights and data while engaging in lively debates about the pressing environmental challenges facing our planet today. From discussing the best strategies to protect endangered species and restore critical habitats to tackling the global crisis of climate change—these conversations profoundly reinforced my understanding of the power of collaboration, a principle that resonates far beyond the realm of zoology and enriches every aspect of life.

The zoology program requires students to complete a final research project, and my topic was particularly fascinating: observing large sika deer with massive antlers every day for four consecutive months. I witnessed the herd engaging in fierce fights, emitting powerful roars, and peacefully grazing. Though the research was demanding, it provided a unique experience that no other field could offer—truly a timeless treasure in my life.

Studying zoology is both fascinating and full of challenges: countless late-night library sessions spent finishing assignments, the lingering ache of homesickness, and feeling overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the academic system—yet these very experiences are what make university education so unique. It teaches us not only how to overcome obstacles but also how to embrace challenges and ultimately push ourselves beyond our limits.

Why share these with you all?

First of all, this major is truly unique and I’m confident it’ll spark everyone’s interest. But more than just a certificate, this degree is a testament to my relentless pursuit and perseverance. It’s these experiences that have brought me here today—ready to share my journey with you—and now I’m excited to take on the multifaceted teaching responsibilities in subjects like physical education, chemistry, and English.

Effort and perseverance aren’t confined to university or campus—they permeate every stage of life. Whether it’s staying up late to finish weekend assignments or pushing through fatigue to meet friends, effort is what drives us forward. Even though I’ve already left college, my journey of striving has never paused—I’m constantly working to improve myself and become the best version of who I can be. After all, success is built on consistent effort and unwavering commitment. As long as you lay a solid foundation, you, too, can achieve everything you aspire to become.
