The first week flag-raising ceremony of the new school year | Entering a new semester, igniting new hopes
On the morning of August 3, 2020, the first week's flag-raising ceremony of the new school year at Zhuhai Yinghua Cambridge International School was successfully held!

A new semester brings new hope and dreams. Following the opening lesson, "Your Freedom Starts with Self-Discipline," on the evening of August 2nd, 2020, all teachers and students of Zhuhai Yinghua Cambridge International School gathered in the main hall of the Science and Technology Building on the morning of August 3rd for the first flag-raising ceremony of the new semester.
At 7:40 am on August 3rd, the main hall of the Science and Technology Building was silent. Accompanied by the resounding national anthem, the bright five-star red flag slowly rose under the gaze of all Yinghua teachers and students.
Yinghua hopes to integrate the strengths of Eastern and Western education to cultivate elite talents with a Chinese heart and an international perspective. Listening to the national anthem and admiring the national flag is also to hope that children will have a stronger sense of belonging to their identity. Only by knowing where their roots are and where their hearts belong can they confidently move forward, avoiding being lost, lonely, or hesitant in foreign lands.

Good morning! Today is the first flag-raising ceremony of the first week of the 2020-2021 school year. We are gathered here for this important event, and I would like to raise three questions: Who are you? How do others see you? And who do you want to become?
The current international situation is dominated by the global pandemic of COVID-19. In this context, why should we still study abroad? I explained the reasons at the graduation ceremony two weeks ago, so I won't repeat them here. However, I would like to quote my concluding remarks from the third graduation ceremony two weeks ago:
Students, whenever the world undergoes major changes, international education is even more necessary. Whenever the world is in turmoil, we need to remain steadfast We believe knowledge and ideas are the power to change the world We believe truth can bring peace and clarity to this world.

Flag-raising speech | Staying Healthy
